Did you play it as God intended, on a Power Mac 7100?

Haha, no sir, I can't say that I did. I tried it first on a PC, probably over a decade ago. I was at a friend's house, they had a computer, and I wanted to play a game. I tried one (I didn't realize until much later that it was Marathon) and I got nauseous pretty quick. Recently I downloaded Marathon: Durandal from XBL, and the nausea ensued again :(

If you have a Power Mac 7100 and a copy of Marathon, I would love to take a third try at it :)

I think when you play it on a 15- or 17-inch monitor with graphics running at 640 x 480 or smaller with the HUD (which took up a more of the screen than current HUDs), it's a bit harder to get sick. I was very disappointed when I found Marathon 2 unplayable on the Xbox. We naturally want everything super-sized now, but back in the day Marathon was impressive enough.
