Isn't the nightfall boost going away next week? I vaguely recall reading that.

Yeah, they are trying to figure out a way to do it so you don't feel like you have to complete it first thing every week.

Except, that they're not taking it away so much as they're effectively applying the buff to everyone whether they've run it or not now, right?

I thought that was the way they explained it, but I could be totally remembering that wrong.
