I agree with you on full character development. Our guardian was pretty bland. Give the ghost lines or give us a personality, IMO. I love the new Tomb Raider and I identify with Lara because she has something of a personality. I identify with my dudes in Destiny...not that much. I don't identify with Gordon Freeman, either. So I don't think silent protags do it for me either.
