Excellent post.

Bungie did really well this time making it easier for folks to tackle higher-tiered missions with less-than-prime gear, and I think that deserves a lot of credit (despite class items and Ghosts having Defense values, when they shouldn't). The only issue is folks thinking that hitting 310 is the be-all goal, when nobody should put so much importance in light post-290.
