Beating Oryx on Heroic (Destiny)

I was thinking: does everybody have exotic swords? Except for me obviously. But I can get one. I ask because it occurred to me that they can rip through things super fast. And because we all need just one more light level before we stop getting a damage penalty, and killing ogres and those knights goes slow, how about:
1. 2 floaters. Everybody uses swords to waste the ogres and Knights. Could it work?

Only if you can tell me how to kill stuff with my sword when standing up on the platform! ;)
The 2 floaters could do it for sure though. I know Cruel, Peaks and I all have our swords, unsure who else does.

Stuck at 310.9999 for weeks. So we're going to try and Kill HM-Oryx this week eh? That would be so awesome!

Maybe not this week, but definitely next?
I think we can pull it off, but we'd need a whole night devoted just to it. Good thing I have the checkpoint.

I've never tried it, but killing the Ogres with swords sounds risky as hell. The solar exotic sword might be able to rip through them fast enough to avoid getting smashed, but that's a big if. We'd also need to be careful about accidentally detonating the light bombs, since we'd be standing right on them as they appear.
Might be worth a shot, though!

Bolt Caster MIGHT be a better option. with the increased damage, and getting hit by 3 at once they may fall quick. The people on the plates can't use them however because of the jumping animation. I tried once and the platforms vanished.

Maybe a titan can drop weapons of light in the middle to help the floaters. I feel like if the two floaters, and the person on the platform focus on the ogre, the floaters can go one ogre after the other, and leave the knight for the person on the platform.
Or
2 floaters go from ogre to ogre with their exotic swords. Leave knights and ads for the people on platforms.

No, I don't have my exotic sword, nor do I have that spiffy exotic everyone uses during Oryx. I need to get those!
As I was jumping between platforms I never had the chance to try out my new rocket launcher, the Harrowed Elulim's Frenzy, on those ogres or knights. I wonder how it would handle them.
If I get my 310 artifact (I think I just need to beat Oryx now) then I'll be at 310 light & so very close to 311.

BTW, the sword idea is interesting; I don't think it's been attempted. FWIW, I've been able to survive longer than expected meleeing the ogres when intentionally wiping.
