Traditionally a .22 is where most young adults (or kids) start, and I haven't even done that yet
I'm way behind :(

No worries, everybody starts somewhere. I learned marksmanship at a very young age so I guess I'm a bit more enthusiastic about encouraging first timers to pop their cherries with larger caliber rifles. Even as a kiddo I got tired of .22 pretty quick. :P

Have fun and feel free to ask me some questions if you're curious.

I've shot several different gauges of shotgun, so I'm plenty familiar with the kick that comes with it.

In terms of my B.O.B, a compact .22 carbine would be ideal for quick self defense, squirrel or other small game (sorry, pete) or zombies.

For a pistol, IDK yet. The only one I've ever shot was a 9mm.

For a rifle, I just want to learn, period. Don't plan on owning one. Well, depending on what changes in the next few years in this country I suppose **rolls eyes**
