Why do I have to wait a second (Destiny)

before I can click on a destination?

The orbit screen has loaded, the cursor is over tower, I click and nothing happens. I have to wait until I'm told I can click.

I understand that Destiny is very chatty. EVERYTHING involves sending and receiving packets from the server. Pretty much nothing is held locally.

But we can see the options so there must be some way to pick one earlier.
