How did these changes not get made prior to retail release? I know they made changes based on feedback from the Beta. I'm not griefing Bungie, I'm genuinely curious as to how something like this happens. It took the players all of 6 days to realize the ARs and Shotguns were OP, while the other weapons were useless in PvP. How does something like that make it through internal testing which, I presume, went on for months or years?

They actually did make adjustments between the beta and the final release, they even talked about it. They just obviously didn't have enough time and data to see if their adjustments were good enough, now they do.
