Which might be the case...
Yeah. I'm REALLY turned off by some of the design decisions in Year 2. Sterling Treaure animations ARE LITERALLY THE WORST. I cringe every time I open one. I don't mind the book idea, but I hate that it takes up a very precious spot in my inventory and yeah, the interaction with it (crack the seal), no just no. Keep it clean, keep it clear, keep it Destiny. This isn't some arcade machine designed to take your money... Oh wait... Well only one part of the game is that way.
