Taken King PS Exclusives possibly staying exclusive for RoI? (Destiny)

Reddit was digging through some of the wording on all of the Rise of Iron stuff from the last couple of days. It seems to imply that some if not all of the current PS Exclusive stuff (armor, weapons, quests, Crucible maps) are going to remain exclusive through Fall 2017. No clarification from Bungie or Activision yet, but Activision is generally very thorough with this kind of stuff.

This could mean that there are new exclusives that they failed to mention, but I feel like Bungie would have teased more to come if that was the case. If this is accurate, it would probably mean this will be exclusive up until Destiny 2 is already out, thanks a lot Bungie.

I absolutely hate this shit. Exclusives that impact gameplay should not exist. I don't mind the PS exclusive armor that is purely cosmetic but offers no additional gameplay elements that aren't in the Xbox version, but the rest of it is awful. The game has, essentially, two different economies, two different pvp metas, two different strike lists, and so forth. It's gross, it's cumbersome to design around, and it's abusive to the consumer. Two people are paying the same amount for "the same" game but getting different products simply because of what platform they bought it for? I own a PS4 that I bought just for Destiny. I bought it because of the exclusives offered in the initial launch. And that disgusts me. I am disgusted that I fell for it. I am disgusted that Sony pulled this bullshit, that Activision agreed to it, that Bungie signed the contract with both of those other companies that allows it, and that everyone involved *knows* that their xbox fanbase is getting a sub-par product with every launch cycle.

It's gross gross gross and - to make it worse - it's effective. Any game with a cross platform release and decent hype will be susceptible to this kind of chicanery. It is, in my esteem, worse that a console exclusive game, because in those cases you don't get the money from the console players you're dicking over. In this case, you do, and they're paying the same amount of money for less game. Everyone involved should feel ashamed.

My thoughts exactly. For me personally, I'm never going to go over to the PlayStation side. Which means, I just have to live with getting boned (pun intended) every release. I get use to it more and more each time. And at the same time the aforementioned parties disgust me more and more each time.
