Whatever happened wasn't a capacity issue, The entire login system across the game, website, and app was completely down. The queue is probably probably just to prevent all million of us from trying to login at the same time once the actual issue is fixed.

Login issues at launch are like, a huge issue for online games. It should be priority 1 to eliminate them. They can be foreseen. I don't care what the problem is. Short of a denial of service attack there is no excuse whatsoever in 2016 to not be able to log into your game.
