1. The whole point of this post Is that they do not fix defects. If they fixed the GPU design and replaced the broken one with the new design, there would be no issue. Instead they give you the same broken model.
2. You must not buy Apple. Their computers last a long time. I use my 2008 Mac Pro to capture video and cut films (in 4K even) to this day. The Pro moniker means it’s built to last. Or at least it used to be. So paying a lot for the machine is no big deal since they last so long.
