In Forsaken, when you join a Strike, Gambit match, or Crucible match in matchmaking, the team will stay together until people leave. So if you join a Strike with two randos, you'll play the next strike with those two randos, unless someone leaves. Taht's how it worked in D1, isn't it? It does not apply to Competitive Crucible.

Why doesn’t it apply in competitive crucible? Why? Stupid. It should be no different. This would make it way more fun for solo players! You are already able to invite people on your team after a match… just eliminate that step and make it easier. Would love to understand the thought process behind this decision.

I'm assuming they're using the same setup D1 had. In Crucible, it would keep the entire group of 12 together. It would fill in any vacancies from people leaving, rerandomize the teams, and then go. I'm sure they could design a system that keeps just the separate teams together, but I doubt that's how it's going to work, given past experience.

If that's the case, obviously they wouldn't use that for Competitive.
