Redrix’s Claymore Perks with Salt. (Destiny)

I don't really see the issue with giving folks that have Redrix's Claymore the stuff they're getting. They get an emblem, and they get immediate access (or chance for drops, really) to what is essentially the new version of the gun with random rolls. Would you propose they have to do the grind again to get Redrix's Broadsword?
