Redrix’s Claymore Perks with Salt. (Destiny)

This irks me with mixed emotions. First of all, they are right in the description that earning Glory felt "like a Second Job". As much as I would love to get Redrix’s Claymore (which is a PVE weapon), I have found trying to get it to be not fun. I'll just say this; if someone quits on MY TEAM, I SHOULDN'T be penalized. I've had games where if one person left, the other two people would leave as well, and frankly, I can't really blame them. In Competitive, if someone quits, it's basically an instant loss anyway. The game just dies. It's just... UGH... it's shit. And it's Frustrating.

They could have join in progress, and disable the loss penalty for the joiner. Perhaps even a small Glory bonus for finishing a game you joined in progress to encourage you to finish it out even if you don't think you can win.

With that said, here are where my feelings get really mixed. On one hand, if you were able to get through the slog and get Redrix’s Claymore, congrats on the continued perks of your glory. You freaking earned it. On the other, Bungie knows there was a... let's call it a barrier problem, hence that "Second Job" descriptor, that I presume holds back players. Yet in spite of this they are giving added perks to those who have Redrix’s Claymore?

It took me somewhere around 300 games to get. Let's say 300 @ 12 mins per game, that is 3600 minutes which is 60 hours. So that's an hour a day for two months. So you could play for an hour every other day and get it before forsaken. Slow and steady. Of course I am not the best at crucible, so if you rule it's even less.

When you compare a 60 hour investment with the rest of the Destiny time sink, it seems pretty tame actually.
