Wait, the OG PS4 has HDR support? (Gaming)

Finally picked up Horizon. Quick question, I plan on buying a Pro at some point in the next year. Should I wait to play it with that?
Sammy played through it on a launch PS4, and it looked and ran great from the get-go (also has HDR support if you’re into that).
