Another issue with the indirect storytelling is that there is a key moment in the campaign where Mara-Riven says "Oh brother mine". For me and other players who are familiar with Ahamkaras, that was the 'Oh Crap' moment that solved the big mystery of the campaign. But that line meant nothing to Sammy, and I'm sure it means nothing to the thousands of players who don't read lore bits.
That was such a good moment, and I immediately thought of all the people playing who wouldn't realize what that meant.
And Kermit, Kory, and Cody in agreement on something...End Times are upon us.
