International get your self killed in gambit day (Destiny)

I’m told by reddit that for the new lumina quest there is a step that can be progressed easily today by going into gambit, ignoring the primeval, then invading and getting your self killed. Sounds like fun. Being killed is what normally happens when I invade so I’d be playing against my strengths. Considering setting up a fireteambuilder event.

Have not researched anything about the quest or how long to get to such a step

That doesnt advance the quest for you, it advances the quest for the people killing you. Just wanted to make that clear.

Did a little research. apparently one of the last steps is to get invading Gaurdian kills. You have to get one but within 10 seconds so yo get a medal and they can’t kill anyone on your team. ugh. no wonder some reddit'ers wanted to start a trend of people helping each other out.

Looking at the steps and my usual availability it is probably going to be a few days/weeks/months until I get to this step, let alone complete everything for this gun.
