I can't speak for anyone else. I still play Destiny, and I still talk to people who play Destiny... just not here, I guess.

I'm here less because being here stopped being fun, at some point; it felt like an endless stream of negativity, and it hurt my head. Trying to point out that nothing but griping or snark on a fansite didn't really make sense to me didn't really move the needle... so I left.

What Claude said. Also, sometimes in life you realize that no matter how much you love and support someone, or an organization, or a game studio, or a community, the feeling might not be mutual. The object or your love and support might turn out not to be what you thought it was. Or maybe it changed. I imagined a redoubt against our poisonous online culture and tribalism. I blame no one but myself for this unrealistic expectation. Maybe it's high school all the way down, folks. Maybe junior high. I'm a loyalist at heart, though, and old habits die hard. I didn't tie myself to this mast for no reason. I've considered deboarding many times, and still might, but I also still care about many who might read this. That's why I'm still here. To those I say, I hope the new year brings us together, somehow, somewhere. And I wish good things to all in 2025.
