A LOT of the complaints I see (e.g. MP announcer voice) are simply because Destiny isn't quite what people where expecting (e.g. Halo) rather than because it's bad in itself.

Personally I think the announcer might be both-- I can see how they might decide to go for a more low-key announcer and announcement style, but I think that's absolutely the wrong decision (but that's still a personal judgment call, not a universal, objective one).
