That's interesting, but I'm not sure it really counts as making Titans into a true tank class. If such a thing truly were the case, then bringing a tank to certain encounters would be mandatory, which in turn would make this talent choice mandatory. And mandatory talents suck.

Yeah, but you can respec on the fly in Destiny.

I don't see how that undermines his worries. I also don't see how the fact that a tank exists makes it mandatory in any encounter.

I'd imagine certain abilities will be mandatory in the same way the Plasma Pistol was mandatory on legendary. Sure, you can do it without one, but it'd be a lot harder.
