Reports of a PI nerf are most likely due to a bug that is now registering your first blast as a forth-or-fifth blast. This means horrible spread and less damage. It appears to be a bug on the lines of that last Thorn bug; feel free to keep upgrading it, just don't use it right now in the crucible for the love of God. Nobody trollin' like Bungie trollin'.
