TLDR;

• COD goal driven - crush opponent - hear him suffer
  
• Destiny experience driven
  
• People are a mixture of goal driven vs experience driven
  
• In the past COD had to appeal to both sides of our natures and so include content for both to be sold at a single game's price
  
• Destiny let Activision split COD in two and charge full price for both parts
  
• things missing in Destiny are to be found in COD and vice versa
  
• and this explains the, sometimes confusing, design decisions that built Destiny

So Destiny was built/chopped-down to make it compliment COD. What you pine for in one game you will find in the other.

This Batman character is blessed with the ability to confidently deliver a few nuggets of insight in a pile of BS in such a way as to make it all seem reasonable.
