Destiny companion app (Destiny)

I got the companion app now that I have a smartphone.

Am I missing something? It's very hard to use functionally. The actual website is much much easier. Switching gear in and out is a pain, and destiny item manager does not work with mobile chrome.

In my opinion, DIM's interface, where you simply drag items around from character to character is perfect for a touch screen! Bungie should absolutely redesign their app to be more like DIM. I was hoping to just need my phone when I play and have to switch guns around, but it looks like I need my Macbook Pro after all.

Destiny Companion got deleted pretty fast.

Oh come now, it's not all that bad. I imagine the drag-n-drop interface requires a bit more screen real estate than smartphones have available. Just one guess.

For grabbing specific quantities of materials and moving them around, I find the app to be very useful. For moving several items from one character to another however, even the Web interface is cumbersome.

For moving stuff en mass, I use an iOS app called "Loadouts". You can select a bunch of items, regardless of where they reside, and send them a the same character. The takes care of all the swapping.. I you can even save preset loadouts (hence the name), and apply them with a single tap.
