Destiny companion app (Destiny)

So... I'd kinda like to use one of these 3rd party apps but... I don't trust them. How do they safely interface with my Xbox Live and Bungie accounts? If something goes wrong and I lose items who would I be able to complain to? Maybe I'm just a bit paranoid but I'd rather be safe and know who to yell at than be able to move a few guns around a tiny bit quicker...

As far as I know, DIM doesn't even have any info from your bungie.net profile. That's why you have to log in on the site before you use it. All it's doing is sending commands that the website would send. There's zero risk of anyone taking your stuff, and the same risk of losing items that you face when you move them around on the website.

I'm totally fine moving my Gjallarhorn around with it.
