Nah, otherwise you could go to the Lighthouse, grab a new card, get it to 8 and save it for next week.

If you have an empty card you can keep it, and you keep Mercy (and maybe Boon?) if you haven't used them, but if you have even one win (or loss I assume?) on your card you have to get a new one.
