Nah, otherwise you could go to the Lighthouse, grab a new card, get it to 8 and save it for next week.

I don't see any problem with this.

If you have an empty card you can keep it, and you keep Mercy (and maybe Boon?) if you haven't used them, but if you have even one win (or loss I assume?) on your card you have to get a new one.

I swear Mercy got wiped out for me between weeks, but maybe not... I don't play trials that much.
