I think enemies hitting the crucible could be interesting, in that it could add a kind of MOBA like element where the enemies are a resources to charge your super/nades/melee.

What I really want is the crucible to invade PVE. I really want some kind of Dark souls esc Invasion Mechanic for patrols.
