"Quests" (Destiny)

This is why I was always baffled when people cheered on the Thorn bounty as such a great quest, and cringed every time Bungie said they are using it as inspiration for the new quests.

The Thorn 'quest' was mindnumbing and I don't understand anyone that thinks it 'told a story'?...

It wasn't the actual tasks that I thought was a good direction but the format. It at least allows for some storytelling where random bounties and lootdrops give nothing. With each step, you get some connection to the larger world through some lore or characterization.

Utilizing that format going forward (and now backward), it gives a hundred more opportunities to learn about Destiny's world with little bits of flavor and facts. Obviously if the actions you must complete are also fun, that would be great. :)
