Hunter stuck at +289 (Destiny)

Enjoying TTK more than I thought much less grinding. That being said I stuck at 289 light. I'm having a hard time finding boots and Ghost shells. My current boots are only 283 and my Ghost shell is only 263. I'm about to break down and buy a Ghost shell but I was saving the legendary marks for the Dead Orbit firefly scout rifle.

Where is the best place to find Ghost shell drops?

I feel your pain. For a long time my ghost shell & boots were the primary things holding me down. Thankfully I finally got some boots from the raid & a ghost shell from the Court of Oryx. I don't know about these guys claiming there was no grind to be raid ready, I certainly had to grind to try & get ready for the raid, but it was small compared to trying to be ready for the VoG.
