I am constantly sitting at 0-20 marks. I don't like having to do the daily stuff just to earn marks. The old slow trickle of marks worked with how I like to play. Some days I would want to do nothing but crucible, other days I would gladly run strikes. I hate that I'm now constantly mark poor unless I want to run the daily stuff every day.

I mean, I get that, I understand why some people don't like the new system.

I think for a lot of folks (myself included), the new system works a lot better. The old system rewarded long periods of play. Yeah, you could jump into a quick crucible match and get a few marks here and there, or run a strike and get a few, but to hit the cap you had to do either activity for hours on end.

Now, even if I don't play every day (and I don't play more than two or three times a week), I can earn 30 marks in fifteen or twenty minutes every time I log on. The sort of time investment required before to earn 30 marks was much longer than that.

I can understand not wanting to do the Daily Mission, but I happen to really enjoy going through them, so it's great for me. And I don't like Crucible all that much, but it's not bad to jump in for one quick match for the Marks.

I try and make it a point most times I play to just knock out those two activities before I log off. I've actually ended up having some good times in Crucible, because when I finish doing whatever I'm doing with my Fireteam, I just tell them I'm going to do the Daily Crucible and Mission, and they decide to tag along. I've played Crucible more now than I ever have before, and with folks that I normally probably wouldn't, because of the new system, and that's a good thing in my book.
