Let's talk Legendary Marks and the Iron Banana (Destiny)

Doing some quick math on the purchasable items for Iron Banner it looks like it will now cost you 420 Legendary Marks in order to purchase one of each item. That means on top of earning the maximum of 270 marks, you will need to either start with a minimum of 150 marks for the week, or get extremely lucky and earn an additional 150 marks through dismantling 50 unleveled legendary items.

What are other people's thoughts on this?

I personally think it's crazy that they are requiring so many marks for 280 level gear. This wouldn't be nearly as bad if they weren't limiting the number of marks you could earn to less than half of what you could previously earn.

In the weekly update a couple weeks back, Bungie said they were increasing the drop rates of all Iron Banner items as post-game rewards. Their intention is for us to be able to get all the available IB gear through drops, and only resort to purchasing items as a last-ditch backup plan. If it actually plays out that way, I'm fine with it.
