Sure you do, just go farm the heroic strikes for a while. Granted it might be a bit slower, but I'm not convinced it's all that much slower.

In which sense? You only get a guaranteed 30 marks account-wide doing the heroic strike playlist. After that, you have to rely on RNG dropping legendary engrams you don't want and can dismantle for 3 marks each.

My RNG luck is HORRIBLE. Even so, I still shard 3 or 4 legendaries a day. Running strikes is fun, and an easy way to earn stuff.

I was an idiot - I completely forgot that IB might use Marks as a currency. Last night, I had 177 marks, and I didn't want to hit the cap and stop earning. So I bought a Y2 Red Death, even though I didn't really want it right now. (I want one - but down the road a bit.)

So this morning I woke up with 30 marks, and read the note about needing to buy stuff with Marks. (I guess I assumed it'd be glimmer again - I have more than 80k banked right now.)

I played 2 strikes and one Iron Banner game (45 minutes, maybe) and I currently have 75 marks. And that's after 3 new infusions.

They build up pretty quick. :)

(It helps that the two strikes completed a 25-mark bounty, but still... :) )
