My Time as a Sunbreaker, and Why I Am Now a Gunslinger (Destiny)

Heh - I disagree with a lot of this.

I play mostly as a Titan (and a Sunbreaker, these days), with my Hunter (Bladedancing) about a third of the time in crucible. I'll agree that folks run from hammers - so popping at the right time is important. (I get it wrong more than I get it right, which is why I often get one or two (or zero!) kills, with occasional triples and breakers.)

But the Sunbreaker punch is godly. I rarely play a Warlock, so I never had experience with a punch that keeps on giving... but it's SOO satisfying to punch someone who got the drop on you, and watch the DoT kill him over time. (From my death cam, of course. :) ) If I use it the way it's MEANT to be used, he dies, and I'm already somewhere else doing more damage. I don't understand why you say it's weak.

And grenades? I've gotten more Get It Off! medals in the past two weeks than I got in Destiny's first year. Sunbreaker's sticky is awesome.

I'm trying to help you out! Titan buffs man!

Seriously though, I started Destiny as a Warlock - and once you realize what the melee range is there, you realize how much the Titans are being screwed. Titan punch has almost no range. I LOVE the fact that the Sunbreaker melee DoT's. That is a plus I did miss, but the range is very bad compared to the other two classes. This post is mostly about comparisons between the classes. If Titan Melee range was turned to Warlock range for a day... Oh man.

Again, the grenades maybe don't fit my playstyle as well. I do get a lot of stickies with fusions, BUT you have to be in range to get shot at to stick anyone who is paying attention.

In my opinion, trip mines are in a class all their own, especially with the new ahamkara buff... They zone spaces, they OHK most opponents, they last forever, they can sticky, they have a huge blast radius, and they don't have target limits like Arc Bolt and Fire Bolt (Want to hit 6 guys at once, OK!)... Fusions can sticky, but if you miss, they don't do much, and the most they can do is kill one, and barely hurt another person. Incendiary are OK, but the blast radius is unforgiving and the fuse is tricky. I don't think the grenades are bad, just not top tier compared to other grenades.
