Hmmm, Maybe I'm underestimating my Range stat. (Destiny)

Yeah, range means your bullets go where you think they'll go. High range eliminates the frustrating "I was aiming right at him, how did I miss" issue. Stability (your reticle bouncing around a lot) can be compensated for by using short, controlled bursts or just learning the recoil pattern. You can't compensate for low range values.
