This Week in Destiny we're slaying some undead! Revenant is here and we've got tonics to drink, Eliksni to save, and Scorn to hunt. And if that isn't enough, we've also got a new dungeon launching tomorrow, so let's get into it!
Topics for the week
First, with Hurricane Helene, and now with Hurricane Milton, the U.S. has been devastated by back-to-back extremely powerful storms. Hundreds of lives have been lost, entire communities wiped out, and thousands are facing an uncertain path to recovery.
In the face of these difficult times, our humanitarian partners at Team Rubicon and Direct Relief have once again stepped up to provide vital services and resources to affected communities. In response to Helene, the veteran-led volunteers of Team Rubicon have launched hurricane recovery operations supporting communities in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, and are mobilizing to respond to the regions impacted by Milton.
Direct Relief has been working to fulfill critical unmet medical needs within the most marginalized communities and has already provided $350,000 in financial grants to 14 health centers and free clinics in the impacted states to support their operations and millions of dollars of product has arrived or is en route.
Volunteers from Team Rubicon and Direct Relief are working tirelessly across the region to make today a bit brighter than it was yesterday, and now it's time for the Bungie community to once again rally for those in need. At next week's reset in Destiny 2 (October 15, 2024), we will be launching a Hurricane relief campaign, benefiting Team Rubicon and Direct Relief. Donate $25 and earn the exclusive Through The Storm emblem and help bring much needed support to these communities. Keep an eye on The Bungie Foundation social channels for an official announcement when the campaign is live.
Through the Storm Emblem
With storms as widespread and as devastating as these, it can seem from afar that an individual can't make much of a difference. But as we have seen time and time again, the collective compassion of our Light Keepers creates an incredible, long-lasting impact. Take care of yourselves, take care of each other, and let's do our part to make a difference. 💙
Revenant is upon us and it's time to pick up the mantle of Slayer Baron and take on Fikrul, the Fanatic and his army of undead. If you didn't catch our Revenant trailer earlier this week and are looking for something to set the mood, look no further. Scorn hunting with a killer soundtrack, what's not to love?
Unknown transmissions have been intercepted from a derelict Braytech station and it's up to you to investigate. The new dungeon, Vesper's Host, launches tomorrow at 10 AM PDT and we've got a new trailer to give you a little taste of what to expect. Check it out!

Known Issues List | Help Forums | Bungie Help TwitterRevenant Patch Note Additions
With the patch notes for Revenant going live on Tuesday morning, we had a few late additions for some quality of life changes we wanted to make everyone aware of.
- Increased Armor Synthesis Bounties available from Ada-1 per Episode.
- Vault from Anywhere: Players can now access the Vault from, well, pretty much anywhere! Even in activity.
Clarification on Stasis Exotics and Artifact Mods
We have seen reports that Wicked Implement and Conditional Finality aren't receiving the Anti-Barrier perk from the Artifact. This is by design due to the exotics being Stasis and having the intrinsic "Slow" perk already, which can be used against Overload champions.Known Issues
While we continue investigating various known issues, here is a list of the latest issues that were reported to us:
- Bungie Names cannot be changed. We hope to fix this as quickly as possible.
- The Last Word is issuing more damage than intended against Guardians. This weapon has been disabled in Crucible and Gambit until a fix can be deployed.
- The Loadout and Mod screens in the character screen are very difficult to access. If the cursor is over a weapon or armor, they can be accessed.
- Menus and subscreens used to change pages no longer allow inputs from a D-Pad or arrow keys.
- The Director is no longer able to be accessed from inside the character screen.
- Additional Bounties from Eido don't display a time limit like other bounties.
- The "Launch" button in the main quest may be greyed out on certain steps.
- Specific Episode: Echoes Triumphs were removed at launch and cannot be obtained, blocking points.
- Some characters are blocked on Step 2 of the Act I: Eliksni Rescue quest because their Tonic Brewing Guide went to their Postmaster.
- Opening the Tonic Capsule container in the Quests menu can soft-lock the game. Players can get out of this screen by opening their Director screen.
- The Ghostwriter title has become hidden for all players.
- The Cayde's Fate mission in the Timeline cannot be completed.
- The post-Excision cutscene of Guardians looking at the Traveler is missing the Traveler.
- The Vow of the Disciple raid is missing the Master version in Fireteam Finder.
- The turrets in Onslaught can target Strand threadlings and clones.
- A triumph in Guardian Rank 7 tells players to get kills with the Ice Breaker exotic, but it should be the Alethonym exotic. This triumph counts only kills with Alethonym.
- The Deadlock shotgun does not have random rolls like it should.
- Guardians can't be commended after completed Expert Onslaught Salvation.
- The Fieldwork banner does not tell players that they need to talk to Eido again.
For a full list of emergent issues in Destiny 2, players can review our Known Issues article. Players who observe other issues should report them to our #Help forum.
What else can we say? It's Moo Deng with a Caiatl cosplay. Just GOAT, bussin', peak, extra...
Well, it didn't take long for one of you to make an even more metal version of the very metal music in the Revenant trailer. Keep these coming.
That's everything we have for this week! How's that tonic making going? Go crazy and spend materials in the Tonic Table; you will make Eido happy, you will always have tonics to drink mid-activity if their effects run out and if you are lucky, you will unlock rare mixes for your collection. Drink enough tonics and you might end up being strong enough to solo flawlessly the Deep Stone Crypt raid last week (NSFW language).
