Bug: you can get record book rewards without spending $10 (Destiny)

Seems like it wouldn't be hard for Bungie to detect anyone who has done this and institute a ban (they just have to see who earned these items but doesn't have the record book?).

Why should someone get banned for pressing X? The game code allows you to do it… This isn't something that requires extensive manipulation or modification. It could easily be done unintentionally. Bans would be dumb.

It's not even 'stealing'. The game lets you do it.

Bungie made a mistake, and should just fix the problem, refund the money to those who got the book, and let everybody keep the rewards. It's not the player's problem: it's Bungie's. I really don't like the attitude that players should be punished for the developer's mistake.
