Because its not Halo. (Destiny)

With the Low TTK, especially with pulse rifles and scout rifles being reliably decent, no one would use Snipers. I know what you are thinking, "EXACTLY". Don't be selfish just because you can't snipe. I agree that they do not fit their role well. Long range sure, but they are unintended-ly deadly up close. This goes to ADS speed. With Snapshot and the general speed of ADS in Destiny, it allows for this. Most games would counter this by making it take longer to scope in. HOWEVER, again, with the low TTK (its low IMO for the speed of the game) this would make them useless.

I like sniping alot. It feels rewarding getting really good snipes, up close, far away, anywhere really. I know it can be irritating. But so are shotguns. At least when I get sniped in a crazy way, I can almost always say, well that guy is good and earned it. When I just get shotgunned from stupid ranges, i tend to have a more negative reaction, because my 3 year old daughter could pull a positive K/D with a shotgun (exxaggerattttionnn).

Yeah... so here is where I disagree with you: Both guns take skill, the difference between them though is that when I take on a shotgun I feel like I have a chance. When I take on a sniper I never feel like I have a chance. And that is on the good fights when I know I'm actually fighting. I hate rounding a corner and get sniped before I realize I even died. And not from a guy scoping across the map, I mean like 10 feet away.

I understand that sniping takes skill. I understand that it is a legitimate skill to have. But when sniping skill completely drowns out any other skill in the game to the point of not being able to do anything. That sucks. A lot.
