I'm actually a bit surprised (Destiny)

This may sound more pessimistic than I mean it to, but I was expecting revamped VoG and CE simply because it would be a way to give us new-ish PvE stuff to do with as little dev time as possible. I figured we'd jump into new versions of the old raids as the primary way to level up to 330 or whatever the new level cap ends up being.

Even more pessimistically, my guess is that Bungie doesn't want you to have 18 shots a week at a year 2 exotic. 3 raids x 3 characters x 2 chances per raid = 18 chances. The longer the game goes on and the more raids come out, the more chances you would get. So it makes sense to limit old raids to year one stuff from that perspective. It would be even more lucrative with three of coins.

It's all about keeping you from progressing. Seriously.

Don't Crucible and Strikes drop Year 2 exotics with the mere application of a few Three of Coins?
