Someone with a mechanical keyboard who cares even a little bit about the quality of the audio going out would never use one. Luckily, I literally couldn't care less, so I infect Doom 3 Let's Plays with my annoying clicks. When I've recorded podcasts recently, I've never typed anything. That's kind of impolite. I might use a tablet maybe if I had to look something up while doing it.

I mean, I have like a dozen rubber domes but I just don't bother using them.

But don't hate them until you've tried them side by side with a normal one. You can buy one at your local Micro Center for $30 and return it no questions asked if you don't like it.

I found this particular keyboard used for like $19 on eBay a while back and bought it. Works great; uses MX Blue clones, probably Outemu. It's a decent keyboard.
