But don't hate them until you've tried them side by side with a normal one. You can buy one at your local Micro Center for $30 and return it no questions asked if you don't like it.

I guess I can't say I've tried them side by side, but I used a mechanical keyboard through highschool and into college. I got a Macbook during college, though, and haven't owned a proper desktop since then, so it's been nearly a decade since I've used a mechanical keyboard. I just don't care enough, I guess.
