Brown's a quieter switch. Makes sense. It's a tactile one but not clicky.

The Apple keyboard he is probably talking about is the Extended Keyboard, from the late eighties, or the Extended Keyboard II (the better one) from the early nineties. They use an ALPS switch.

But he could have just used an ADB to USB converter.They're only $30?!!?!??! Holy shnikies. I'd wire my own too.

Yeah, there is a cheaper way to do it, but I believe it involves soldering :-)
