There's nothing in the game that forces you to play with other people, except competitive multiplayer, of course - though it sounds like Raids will be so challenging that teammates will be a necessity, like Cortana-on-Legendary-with-all-the-skulls-on challenging.

Not so bad, actually. 3rd easiest in Halo 3 after Floodgate and Halo, IIRC.

Use the Sword, a few camos, and run like hell :)

EDIT: Oh man, I'm getting flashbacks. I mean, it was tough at the time, but it's the kind of thing that was ultimately only a stepping stone to greater challenges.
