Don't play the strike playlist (Destiny)

Select individual strikes via the map if you only want to play one at a time.

You are doing entirely the wrong thing to achieve your goal.

Then the game is broken. You cannot advance past level 20 without vanguard gear. Playing the strike from the map shows the reward as an "armor upgrade" whereas in the strike playlist it is listed as "vanguard gear".

You're supposed to play strike playlists to advance (or crucible I suppose).

Regardless I'd say there's no logic in chaining 40 minute experiences with the same interval as 5 minute experiences. You're just going to have a lot of people drop out at the beginning of the next strike, and they'll have to be replaced by the system.
