Ruinous hard mode trick, do not read unless absolutely stuck (Destiny)

I have not tried using the "reset" button to select difficulty, but using it to select the mission not reseting sits somewhere between poorly explained/undiscoverable and bugged, if that's what's going on.

Yeah. And it's pretty clearly a mistake/bug. I'm Expecting it to be patched soon. (Then again the checkpoint bug on the garden mission has been there since the beginning. So…)

Wait, that's an actual bug? God, I thought I was on drugs or something--I kept trying to do the Divisive Mind bounty and kept spawning way past him! I didn't realize it was a glitch...man...

Disciple figured out what I meant, but I was not referring to the checkpoint for D.M. spawn being further down the trail than where it spawns you (though, I suppose it could be a bug) but the inability to reset it and so we have been completing the mission as the only way to reset the mission.
