I AM A VOID SHOTGUN MONSTER (Destiny)

On March 3rd, Bungie rolled out a new Crucible gametype: Inferno. I played Inferno for the first time last night, hoping that with a complete lack of radars, my void shotgun would serve me well at last.

It has been twenty four hours. As of this EXACT MOMENT, I finally, FINALLY beat the PVP portion of the Thorn bounty. I went from 109 points to the full 500, and I feel like a MONSTER, because I am a HUNTER.

A HUNTER. I have no Void assets built into my class, and all I could do was whine. On this forum! Because all I had was a void shotty, and I could never get close enough to make it count. So, I complained, and got told that void fusion rifles were where it's at. Turns out, that doesn't work for me in PVP; even if I got a charge off, I'd maybe inch into my adversary's health bar, maybe half the time. Let's not even talk about void sniper rifles (even with explosive rounds, I just... no, how).

But then Inferno came, and the radars disappeared. And as a hunter... so did I. I vanished into every dark corner in every map I could manage to do so-- Blind Watch especially-- and I got almost FOUR HUNDRED POINTS IN ONE DAY. Shotguns to the FACE. ALL DAY. I was vengeful for all the times the weapon had failed me, and even more so the amount of times the very weapon I was questing after was the one that brought me down.

Of course, now, I still have the very last part of this bounty to go-- Xyor, the Unwed, must be slain-- but I'm not worried. I'll get that done in a night with my fine friends here at DBO. I'm just glad... so, SO glad... that all that Crucible nonsense is behind me.

And I did it. As. A hunter. I AM TOTALLY EARNING THIS GUN.

(also I had a Universal Remote drop in my second to last match and I laughed because I just bought that last week, oh well)
