I've been a green thumb person ever since I got settled into Halo 1 and I thought I wouldn't be able to shift away effectively but the Destiny version of it was just too... I don't even remember now, but it didn't work for me, and I eventually got used to the default. It probably helped that I'd use some other control scheme a lot of the time when Forging so I could move up and down independently of zooming in and out, and that Destiny gives you more reason to aim when meleeing, especially as a Gunslinger.
