The damage is done when the post is made, not when the proof is established and verified. It might not impact a player as much on this community as it would on communities like Reddit, but that's a real thing. Internet "justice" has proven this time and time again. Innocent people get screwed with false information.
Which is why some subreddits have rules against internet vigilantism. Posting the video would get you banned on the destiny sub.
