Why is nobody mentioning this? This is awesome news! I do recall suggesting such a thing many months ago :-p
Jason: Also, more importantly, the gear we saw didn’t have armor/light upgrades: just perks. It appears that Bungie wants you to be able to use whichever armor you want without worrying about how it’ll affect your level — and they don’t want you to have to grind out light anymore.
