Which way would you press the tripod head to tilt it down?

Which part?

On the back side I'd press up to tilt it down, but I'd also press left to turn it right, and whatnot. You'd have to invert both axes to get consistent behavior.

On the front side I'd press down to tilt down, up to tilt up, left to turn left, and right to turn right.
